In a strategy shift by Chief Executive Officer Tim Cook to reach a broader range of customers around the world, Apple Inc.had unveiled new iPhone 5c, a cheaper version that come in 5 bright colors and also the high-end iPhone 5s at the Apple campus on September 10, 2013 in Cupertino, California.

The high-end iPhone 5s will come in 3 colors for you to choose that including gold, black and silver which will cost USD $199 for the 16GB version, with 32GB and 64GB models running $299 and $399 respectively with a contract. According to Apple’s online store, the iPhone 5s will costs USD $649 to $849 without a contract. This iPhone 5s is crafted in high-grade aluminum with chamfered edges. For a brand new feature in iPhone 5s, the phone features a 170-micron-thick sensor with a 500 ppi resolution built into the Home button that will biometrically let you enter into the phone. Apple calls it Touch ID, building the feature directly into the operating system. This means that you can use the feature to buy stuff off iTunes securely, assuming no one else has access to your fingertips. Besides, inside the heart of iPhone 5s, you will find a 64-bit A7 processor that features twice the number of transistors as its predecessor that promise speeds twice as fast.

The iPhone 5C, which has a plastic casing and a 4-inch screen, will come in blue, green, pink, yellow and white for USD $99 with a contract. Without a contract, the 16GB version will cost $549 and the 32GB version will cost $649.

Apple also refurbished its mobile software with the introduction of iOS 7 which will be available for free starting 18th September. The new upgraded iOS 7 includes new picture-sharing, sounds features and an iTunes radio feature.

According to Apple’s online store. both iPhone 5s and 5c can be pre-ordered starting 13th September and it will start hitting Apple stores on the 20th September in the US, Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Japan, Singapore and the UK. In December, that list will expand to include more than 100 countries.

For the release in Malaysia at Switch outlets, it will be available by 31 October 2013 and iPhone 5s is priced from RM2399 while the cheaper version iPhone 5c is priced from RM1999. More details of all iPhone pricing are listed as below.

This coming September 10, 2013 (Tuesday), there will be a very big event from Apple Inc. company - The Next iPhone Unveil Event Date. The new iPhone 5S believe to have enhancement on processor and camera as usual. But this time most likely will add in a new feature with fingerprint sensor since the company acquired "Authentec" company last year.

The rumored name for the low cost version iPhone called "iPhone 5C" may unveil on the same date as well. This iPhone 5C believe to have plastic back cover. Much of the speculation that all the upcoming new phones from Apple will start acquire new iOS7.

Google Chromecast: HDMI Streaming Dongle

Google just released a brand new product called "Google Chromecast" which is a HDMI Streaming Dongle that can convert a traditional TV to smart TV. This dongle enable traditional TV to stream internet contents in TV big screen at just US$35 dollar.

Inside the Chromecast packaging box as shown in photo above, it contains a Chromecast HDMI dongle, a HDMI extender, micro-USB cable to supply power and an electrical plug adapter. The Chromecast dongle have one HDMI v1.4 port, one micro-USB port and one LED power indicator.

To set it up, it is pretty simple. The instructions are printed on the packaging itself. First, plug in the Chromecast dongle into one of the HDMI port from TV. Then, use the micro-USB cable provided to connect one end to rounded end of the dongle and the other end connect to USB port from TV or electrical plug adapter provided for giving it the power it needs. Once the power is ON, select to the appropriate TV input, a setup webpage will appear on your computer and asking you to connect it to your home's WIFI network. Then, you will need to install the Google Cast extension to make your Chrome browser compatible. That's all and now you are ready to start streaming internet content to your newly upgraded TV.

New Samsung Ativ Q (Hybrid Laptop/Tablet & Windows 8/Android)

Just want to share a great product from Samsung - Samsung Ativ Q.

Samsung just announced to the tech world on the evening of June 20 for this brand new 13-inch Laptop/Tablet that support Dual-OS (Windows 8 and Android). But the device still yet to be released and no price info at the moment.

This will be good to serve both work and play. You can use Window 8 OS when you are working in Laptop mode while you can use Android OS when you can use it for play in Tablet mode. Foresee this will be the future trend moving forward since people don't need to own two devices at the same time anymore. This will definitely helps especially for people that always travel around.
