Story: One of the coffee shop in Old Town, Ipoh belongs to Grandpa Lei Ruihua in which taken over by father Lei Shihong later. Lei Shihong used to be a tin-mining business man in 1970's in Kinta Valley. He was rich during that time and having a life of debauchery like smoking, drinking and gambling. The late 1980's, tin-mining production went into the period of decline, Lei Shihong did not follow the trend of illegally working abroad like others, he choose to stay in Ipoh. He worked for his father and run their Hainanese family business. His daughter Lei Yamei work as a tour guide in Ipoh. She is a single mother and have a 10-years old daughter, Pei Qi. Lei Zhixin, Shihong's elder son came back from United State after working so many years abroad. The relationship between Zhixin and his father is not good since childhood.The father's attitude become more arrogant lead to Zhixin always quarrel with him. One day, Lei Shihong was missing. He owe the loan shark's money after losing money in racecourse. He felt ashamed and afraid to go home. Zhixin and family were worried about him and their life being strained when the loan shark started to oppress them.
